Write the message
What happens after you write
No black-hole inboxes: here is the loop a message goes through, whether it is a correction to a coverage rate or a complaint that a result confused you.
- 1
You write, we read
Every message lands in a real inbox and gets read by the person maintaining the calculator β not a ticket queue that closes on silence.
- 2
We verify against sources
Data corrections get checked against the manufacturer's technical data sheet you cite; bugs get reproduced with your exact inputs before anything is called fixed.
- 3
The site changes
Accepted coverage corrections ship to the calculator within the week. Everything else is answered directly, even when the answer is 'we won't build that.'
Typical reply times

Quick answers, no form required
Most questions about the primer calculator and this site fall into one of these six. If yours isn't here, that's what the form is for.
Q1
Is the calculator really free?
Yes β every tool on the site is free with no account. No email wall, no trial, no project profile to maintain.
Q2
Where do my saved results go?
Onto your own device, in browser storage. We never see them, and clearing site data erases them permanently. Details in the privacy policy.
Q3
Why does my estimate differ from the paint can label?
The calculator uses industry-standard planning rates per surface type; the can states coverage for its own product. Porous surfaces, texture, and application method all pull real-world numbers around. When they disagree, the product's data sheet wins.
Q4
Can you add a new surface type?
Quite possibly β send the surface, its published coverage rate, and a source (a technical data sheet is ideal). Requests with sources go straight onto the roadmap.
Q5
Do you sell paint or take affiliate commissions?
No. No affiliate links inside results, no sponsored coverage rates. Advertising may appear on the site, but it never influences calculator behavior. Trust is the whole business model.
Q6
Can I use your tables in my store or classroom?
Generally yes for personal, non-commercial teaching use with attribution β just ask via the form so we can confirm the material.
